first post: first lucid
a few weeks ago i got into mind control. not the control of others minds but the control of my own. i got a self hypnosis book (meditation) and starting reading up on dreams. ive been reading here for like a week and i enjoy all the cool stories.
i started learning all of the techniques like recoding for recall waking up ever hour and 40 min and a bunch of other stuff. and all the tips helped.
anyway...last night was my first lucid dream, not much happend. i had a FA and when i looked at my hands they wernt there (my arm ended at my wrist) at this point i went lucid. i got really excited because ive been trying for a few weeks and this was my first hint of lucidity. then everything started to fade and i was like "No no no no no no" because i was so excited to be lucid. so i rubbed my hands together (i had read this helped) and it did help i got clarity so i sat up in my bed and things started to fade again and again i was like NO NO NO and i started spinning (i had read this helped) it did i got clarity again but then the dream ended.
not much of a story but it was a huge step.

Hey congratulations!
I usually find to prolong lucidity either ask a DC what would be the best way for you or just walk around slowly and touch and feel things and examine things in close detail :D
Anyway welcome to the forum :D

i didnt really have a chance in this one because i didnt even get out of bed before i lost my lucidity. but ill try that.
DC are really weird for me because its almost always someone i know in real life. all of my dreams are very realistic often times when i wake up my frist thought is darn i didnt have a dream then i realize that the dream was a dream and not reality.
all my dreams are in locations i reconize (and usualy ones i was at that day) and with people i know (my friends that i alwasy hang out with). the things we are doing are ususally very normal too. (like driving in my car or hangout at someones house just talking or things like that)
anyone else have dreams like this?

Yeah mine invariably would include places and people I know - But this is part of the fun seeing how your friends interact in lucid dreams :D
-
ya im excited for that. its just weird because not only do they include my friends and my recent locations but they seem to be limited to them. hopefull when i get lucid i can change this
-
You should be able to change the location and the people you are with, might take a while to learn to control the dreams this much but it can be done.
