My Lucid Dream?
A few days ago, I had a dream, that I think I became sort of Lucid. This is the last thing I remember. A friend (real life friend) of mine had bought some McDonalds. They were just double cheeseburgers, now someone else was there (physical appearance was totally unfamiliar yet, his presence was sort of familiar) and we were all sitting at a table in someones kitchen. (now that I think about it the setting was unfamiliar as well) We were having a conversation about something, cant really remember what we were talking about. Things get kind of blurry as I begin to look around the room now (which I immediately noticed, I've never been able to do in other dreams before) I remember getting up from the table and leaving for a while, things then go black. I returned to the table, and my friend and the familiar guy had already started eating and were just about done. They wanted to go somewhere else, so they began to gather up the rest of their food and leave. I went over to the bag, that was now sitting on the stove, looked inside and reached inside to get my 2 burgers (I noticed I was doing this on my own) but for some reason I was still looking in the bag, I grabbed the burgers and was proceeding to follow my friends and then the doorbell (real life) rang and woke me up. When I sat up in bed I had trouble distinguishing if I was still dreaming or not. Until I went to the door lol. The strange thing about all of this is, I was still in the middle of practicing for my Lucidity. Was this my first Lucid Dream?

It doesn't sound like you became lucid, at least not from what I just read. At any point during the dream, were you aware that you were dreaming? Or did you at least ask yourself if you were? Sounds like your dreams are becoming more vivid though, which comes from the practicing.

Hello and welcome to Dreamviews.:welcome:
As already mentioned, your dream becomes a lucid dream once you become conscious of the fact that you are dreaming during the dream and you are then able to control it. It is like your head is split in two. One part is dreaming and the other is thinking about the dream and realising it is a dream you are experiencing.
Believe me, when it happens, you will know you have had a LD. It is such a fantastic and unbelievable experience.
Keep practising the techniques and it will come to you. It is a skill that has to be learnt and I am but a learner also. I have only had 2 LD's and both were natural, I was not trying to LD. I still have to perfect that.
Anyway, welcome again and have a good read through the posts, you will get some valuable info.
