I wanted to ask if you can try a WILD before you go to sleep then again after about 5 hours? I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not, or if it would help or hurt. Thanks in advance!!

I think wild only will work when you enter in REM (5-7 hours after) but if you want to try before i suppose that will not have problem...:)
I read that some people can WILD before they go to sleep, but I was asking if on the same night you could try to WILD before sleep and after a while.
Brendan
Hey there,
It's possible. I think there's people here that have had multiple WILDs in a night. In the practice of Dream Yoga the advanced student would basically never fully lose consciousness when going to sleep, no matter when, or how often.
I would watch out though that you don't "wear" yourself out. WILD exercises are a lot of fun to do, but they're not as restful as regular sleep is. If you're going to be spending three hours of your eight hours sleep trying to WILD, you might find yourself getting exhausted after a few days, which might well increase the difficulty of your exercises.
Just my 2 cents,

I tried to WILD before and all the took me to was some weirdo ClockWork Factory :? Didnt really get too lucid though...
Anyway, im gonna try to DEILD tonight. Im hoping that it will work..
Thanks for answering my question! I just wanted to know if you could try before because I have a hard time actually getting up in the middle of the night to try, and I want to be able to try again if I can.

Yeah I use an alarm, I more meant I'm not good at doing what I want to do. I just feel lazy and fall asleep, sorry for not being clear.
Brendan
Trying to WILD at first will increase your chances of getting a DILD (for me). And it will help you get more prepared after you wake up and try again.
