Newbie With A Question
Hello everyone who's reading this ! =p
I'm new to lucid dreaming and this website, I find the subject intriguing and I really want to try, yet all attempts have failed. Maybe I should give it more time, so let's not talk about that right now. I want to ask a question...
When I was younger (8 years old or so) I kept having very frightening dreams, witches scared the life out of me back then. There was one dream which I remember clearly. I was at my grandparent's house and there was a witch outside the windows, every window I went to had her outside it. It was dark and cold, I sensed things were going to get scary and I didn't want to experience any more, so I forced myself awake by opening my eyes, and thus out of the dream.
I think it happened again a couple of times during that period of a couple of months but then stopped.
So, I was wondering if that is a form of Lucid Dreaming? I realised that something I didn't want to experience was going to happen so I forced myself awake.

Hello, welcome to dreamviews
You should not give up, you will eventually succeed. you may want to check out our tutorial section.
Those dreams you had were probably lucid dreams, if you purposely woke yourself up you had to know you were sleeping.

:welcome: to DreamViews, Strawberry Riss! I used to do that too; now I could kick myself for wasting lucid opportunities. But it's never too late to get it back.

:welcome: to the forum! As Sugarglider said, since you knew you were sleeping, you were probably having a lucid dream.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask! :)
