I haven't posted here yet so...
I joined the forums a few days ago and I also have an account on Astral Society. I joined because I became far more interested in lucid dreams and it would be more progressive for me to come here! My real name is Ryan and I come from Bradford, England.
As far as I have progressed: I have had a lot of lucid dreams, a few from WBTB but most just in the middle of the night or early morning. WILD is my goal, but I probably should change it because I am extremely hopeless at it . I learnt how to fly properly (without falling to the ground like a brick) last month and now it's easy. I had a dream journal for months but unfortionately I don't seem to have time for one anymore, which is very dissapointing.
I have also got as far as apparating the odd object or person as well as OBEs, and I have met a guide in a dream many times. My biggest problem is that I have had a guidence experience many times but I have always forgotten what I was told, which is a bummer.
I am able to recognise my current reoccuring dream themes and to some extent understand them, and I recognise the features unique to me associating meeting a guide or having an OBE. For example when I am called/call a guide the current dream will collapse and I will be flying through a tunnel; I will also possess a different dream body through it or at the end because presumalbely my guides think I'm ugly.
Finally, I do not beleive OBEs or SGs are suparnatural, I am more of a scientist and I have my own explanations. I'd say I was an atheist, but I do think there may be higher consciousness (that resides in all things with the capacity for a living consciousness, god is in all of us, we are all god e.t.c.) I just don't think this power is a "creator", "guide" or "carer" in any way. This creates a problem because faith is a good thing to help one focus (and sometimes, stay sane!) but I can't change what I beleive.
