Help me understand.
I'm a real n00b to lucid dreaming. =] I'm coming up on sixteen years old and I heard about this from my friend a couple weeks ago. I thought it would be cool to have a lucid dream and it's really catching my attention. However, i've got one simple question.
What's it really like to have a lucid dream? Is it like you go to sleep and suddenly you're in dreamland? Or is it more along the lines of you go to sleep, and suddenly you're awake, but remember doing stuff in dreamland?
I hope you understood that.
Right now, i'm working on building my dream recall. So far, I only faintly remember my dreams the next morning. I want to know if a lucid dream is something you actually experience, or something you remember experiencing.
Get me?

The idea of Lucid Dreams is conscious dreaming, as in you are consciously experiencing the dream in the now. Lucid Dreaming however isn't instantaneous. You may be having a dream completely unaware of it, and click in halfway through, and then click back out. But you do experience the dream at that moment, its not just mere memories.

Thank you. =]
That's all I needed.
