greetings!
here we go:
you always dream. EVERY NIGHT! the problem is remembering them.
You are not having a dry spell, you just dont remember all the minutes of your dreams.
to fix this....you have to simply start keeping a 'Dream Journal'. All of us keep a book of our dreams that we write in every morning/night because it keeps dreaming on your mind.
Even if all you remember is a 5 second snippet, write it down. AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE. Colours, smells, sounds etc everything. It may be a chore, but you have to start little. Small dream journal entries...give it a week or two and you will be writing twice as much.
If you want to remember dreams and lucid dreams, YOU MUST KEEP A DREAM JOURNAL!
have a quick search around dreamviews for other tips on 'Dream Journals'
goodluck
EDIT:
keeping a regular bedtime is also essential if you are really serious about a strong dream recall.
i keep a dream log and ive got a lot of entries but i cant rember every dream.some ppl say that u normally remember 2-4 dreams per night but i only can remember 1??!!
It doesnt matter. The fact that you keep a journal is good enough.
Things that may change your recall
- Stress
- Over-tired
- Irreggular Sleeping hours
Things that YOU CAN DO TO FIX THIS!
- keep regular sleep
- try a relaxation technique before sleep
AND:
take that ONE dream and write as much as you possibly can about it. Like spin it out to an entire page. Don't make it a rough outline, make it a complete recount. EVERY DETAIL!
-also when you first wake...lay still and try to remember your dreams as hard as you can. Pick the start of your dream. and think HOW YOU GOT TO THE START?
----Im sorry, there is not much else you can do. Thinking about your dreams throughout the day will also help.
+ its like a staircase. you just gotta keep climbing it up...but if you stop briefly you come down a few stairs. Practice and repition!
edit: THAT WAS A TERRIBLE METAPHOR -^ ^ ^ ^. try running up a slide. lol. you gotta keep it up or your going back down.
Hi and welcome to the forum!
Well you are dreaming, it's just you don't remember it. A good way to get your recall back is by starting a dream journal. Just wake up in the morning or after each dream period (this can be done by repeating to yourself "i will wake up after each dream before you go to sleep) and write down anything you can remember from the night. It can be events in your dreams, locations, people even what you felt when you woke up.
After a while it'll sort it's self out.
Also it's natural to have a dry spell once in a while. It's just an annoying thing.
