i started keeping a dream journal about a month ago and have had one lucid dream but now i only seem to have have dream recall on the weekends and i know thats gota hurt my lucid dreaming. i get roughly 7-8 hours of sleep every night so that cant be it. does anyone have any suggestions to help me?

Yeah weekends are definately the best time for being able to remember dreams or LD. The reason is usually that you sleep longer on weekends and have long REM periods in the morning. If you aren't sleeping in later on the weekends it could be because of less stress because you aren't worried about getting up to go to school/work.
Other things to try would be to train yourself to wake up in the middle of the night after each REM period (telling yourself to do this often works pretty easily, the same way you seem to wake up at the right time if you need to get up at a certain time, or you could use an alarm). This allows you to remember each of those dreams and gives you a shot to WILD or to simply tell yourself to LD and increase your shot of having one.

I have the opposite problem. My dream recall deteriorates on weekends due to how busy I am.
As far as bumping up your recall I find that coming to Dream Views a little while before bed helps alot. Give a few dream journals a read before bed if possible.
yea i'm the opposite as well most of the time. saturdays i'm pretty good actually but sundays are usually pretty bad cause i drink on saturday nights usually so that wrecks my sleeps totally.:roll:
