Hey all,
I'm just a newbie here, but i've been interested and having lucid dreams for some time. I'm not very good at inducing lucidity though. It seems as though i'm wake walking through my dream life if you know what i mean...
so if you'd like to give me your advice i'd like to hear what works best for you...

If you go to the tutorials section, there's some techniques there.. and you can do a quick search in the forum, there's a TON! phew! :-P
Different things work for different people, you just have to experiment and find what's best for you.

Inducing LDs are not always the easiest thing in the world, to say the very least. There are all sorts of techniques for all sorts of people. The main site has tutorials on all that which I sent you in your pm, but I'll go ahead and tell you here which one worked best for me. Starting a dream journal. If you write them down once you wake up, you remember them better. And that was the key to lucidity for me. I went from a few LDs a year, to 1-2 a week (except when I slack off :oops: ).
So that's my recommendation. Good luck with it!

Well, I just woke up from my first attempt at a MILD. It worked fairly well, and my dream recall was really vivid, i remembered two dreams instead of just my regular one per night.
In my MILD I managed to input several of my cue's, but i didn't even think to use them in my dream, so i again missed my chances of becoming lucid. :cry:
anyways, just thought that i'd update you and any advice is appreciated, and thank-you ophelia-blue, you definately made me feel super welcome.
~P.S- Can anyone explain a WILD to me a little more thouroghly? I read the tutorial, but i'm still not sure if i understand it completely. Thanks a bundle,

A WILD is basically "staying aware of yourself and your thoughts while falling into REM sleep" * . So you're not emptying your mind as you drift off, but rather focusing on images, or a single image in your mind as you fall asleep. So then the idea is "going from being awake to a dream without losing concentration." * Works best to lie on your back as you do this, at least for most.

Yes, WILD is a really neat way to enter a lucid dream, but can be difficult to master. It is one of the most amazing experiences you will ever encounter. Moving directly from awake to a lucid dream!

I am glad you are already trying out each of the induction methods. In my experience that is the wisest thing to do, as it is different with each person. Some people are great at WILD. Others do RC's. You just have to find your method...
