Yeah! First Lucid!
Hey everybody! I'm The 9 Songs, and my first thread was the nightmare one. This thread is about my first lucid dream I had, a DILD, the night after I learned about lucid dreaming and signed up. I'll try to write down all I can remember...
The day before this dream, I found weird. At school, there was very little people in the halls and my friends I saw (I had to go to the school next to ours for a class) said I was 5 minutes late, even though I was 5 minutes early. Because of this strange day, I did many reality checks, most of them plugging my nose and trying to breath through it. Anyway, here is my dream.
When the dream begins, I'm with a group of people I don't know, and we are going to swim. We are all in swimsuits and we (about 20 people) go outside. I am myself. Following dream logic, the pool is conventiently placed 3 stories above ground, and it is only reachable via a long ladder. I climb the ladder alone, and about 3/4 of the way up I realize I'm dreaming, however I don't know how I realized that. From this point on, I know I am dreaming, but I have no control over my actions; I am only watching. So the ladder breaks at the top, and falls with me at the top. I hit the ground, but I breathed out and it didn't hurt.
And here is a skip of some stuff I can't remember.
I'm at the top of the pool at there are 2 pools leading to a concession stand (so it goes me, pool, another pool, concession stand). There are a lot of people around the pools, and I don't want to go around them, so I decide to walk across the water. I still remember the feeling of the water tension on my feet. Everybody around me is suprised (if that means anything) and I make my way to the concession stand. I can't remember much after that, excep the heavy concession man yelling at me, but that's the end.
I also remember my second Lucid Dream, about 2 weeks ago, but the only thing I remember is pluggin my nose and breathing through it.

congrats on the Lucids! I like DILDs...nice surprises!
but on the whole "spectating the dream, lucidly" idea...well I've never had that problem. But in my own opinion this is because I ALWAYS check reality; even if I know I am dreaming before the check.
The check will increase your level of lucidity, and hopefully bring you into control next time!
