Its probably best you try 5-6 hours after sleep or you will be waiting a long time for a short dream. You may also want to try Deild too. Another thing thats very effective is taking a cold shower 5-6 hours after you sleep, this wakes you mind up fully for your longest rem periods, so your chances of becoming lucid increase greatly.
Good luck trying.
Hey! :) Yeah you will have a higher chance of success if you sleep for a few hours first. I don't see the point in trying right at the beginning of the night because you won't be in REM sleep (the period of sleep you typically dream in) anyway.
probably, but I wasn't the one who figured this out, it was born to kill. I'm just telling you becasue it works. The cold water over your face may work, but probably not as good as a whole cold shower.
Seriously? You want to be shocked so you're totally awake? Won't that make it like, impossible for your body to fall back asleep?
In my opinion I think you should do as you wish. I'm trying WILDs when I go to bed, not after 5-6 hours of sleep. I've been very close a couple of times and I believe it's not impossible but maybe harder. Ignorance is bliss, I've never tried after 5-6 hours of sleep so I don't know if it's easier.
"Believe you can't, believe you can. Either way you're right."
Good luck on your journey to Lucid Dreams!

EDIT: Besides, I've heard you can have one long Lucid Dream through the whole night. It's not impossible for the Lucid Dream to start again after a REM sleep period.
do WBTB before doing it, not WILDing direct.
