Hello everyone!
I am new to LDs and am very eager to have my first. As you probably see, I am also a noob to this site.
Hey! Welcome to Dream Views! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
Well, I am curious of a few things.
As i said in a different post, i dont quite understand the concept of dream journals. How can you remember later dreams by writing down old ones?
When I am dreaming (i rarely remember them) i cannot RC because i have literally no control over what i do in my dreams.
Thanks
Ok... if you remember a dream, say, once a week, but you always write it down, and focus on the dream for a few minutes while writing it down, then you effectively program your brain to remember dreams. You'll remember more and more, if you keep writing them down.
Also, the point of the RC is to do it so often that you just do it in dreams as well as in real life. Do one now. Do one again in a minute. Try to to do them as often as possible, and you will start remembering to do them in dreams as well.
Also, as Grod said in the other thread, check the tutorials
alrighty. thanks a lot!
oh and one more thing:
I am a very self-conscious person, and am scared to keep a dream journal because someone might find it. Are there any like password-protected online journals that do not share my entries with others?
:welcome:
No, not here on DV, but you can create one on your computer and password protect the file. Set the read permissions to owner.
Not that I know of. If you really want to keep it secret I would either A) write it on a word processor and hide it in some ridiculously hard to find location. Also save it with a strange name no one would search. Also B) Write it down IRL and keepsake the journal much like a diary. [Ninja9578's suggestion is a good one].
Also there is Writing.com. I'm fairly sure you can hide things in your portfolio so only you can access them.
I used to be kind of self-conscious, but given my recent entries... well I guess not. xD
Anyway, welcome to Dreamviews.
Well, I think i will just post my DJs on this forum. since i now know there is no one here who judges others, i am now comfortable to post here.
Where on the forum can i pos my DJs?
Here you go: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=26
Create a new topic and record away. And you're right, no one will judge.
thanks!
No one cares what you dream about, I often go into details in my dreams and they can be extremely graphic both in sexuality and violence. I find it fun to see people's reactions to them.
welcome!
WOOT I had my first lucid dream last night!!!
Congratulations! :D
I never welcomed you, so I'll do that now. Also congratulations on your lucid dream! :D
I feel the same way about keeping my journal private, so I use a small pad that fits in my back pocket and I keep it with me always.. A lot of the time throughout the day at work and whatnot I'll remember parts of my dreams and write them down quick.
Welcome and congrats on already having your first LD!!
Keeping a notepad with you during the day is an EXCELLENT idea. I do the same, and I like to take it one step further by also noting what it was in the moment that "randomly" reminded of a part of my dream..
Welcome to the forum and congratulations! :)
Thanks Guys!
Oh and the notepad thing is a pretty cool idea ill have to try that... but dont the papers always peel off of the notepad?
I haven't had any problems with pages falling out or anything.. Its just a small pad with preferated pages... Not those yellow sticky pads if that is what you're thinking
