      My plan for tonight:

Ok, first off, sorry to spam these forums, but as im new to Lucid Dreaming i have many questions :p

Well, for two nights now, i have tried to reach Lucid Dreaming, but still without success. So what im gonna do is to type whet i'm planning to do, so you can tell me if it could work, and if i got this stuff right

Step 1: repeat to myself; "I am gonna have a Lucid Dream tonight" while counting my breath, to fall asleep
Step 2: hopefully I will perform a reality check in my dream, so i can get Lucid.

      Could this work folks?

      Thanks
      Thiada

(Oh, and i would like to tank you for all the help you have already given me! THANKS!)

It's not spam, as long as it's related to lucid dreaming it's a relevant post.

Autosuggestion works fairly well, Dr. Laberge used that before coming up with the MILD technique. So hopefully it will work for you, just don't get frustrated if it doesn't. It takes time to have your first lucid dream and even more time to get good at them. All good things come in time.

As ninja said, don't get frustrated on it. I was so keen on getting a lucid dream, its ALL I wanted. Never achieved it untill I stopped working at it so hard. You can't concentrate on it 400%.

But yes, auto-suggestion works very well and you will find that (even if you don't have a lucid dream) your dream recall might increase.
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.

I would chage the words slightly. If you never had your lucid dream, you cannot tell yourself. I am gonna have a Lucid dream. Use the words

I will be aware that i am dreaming
      or a question
      Is this reality?

before falling asleep. You can only make suggestions about things, you know, or your subconscious will not know what to do.

If I were you I would pick your Reality Checks and what you will control before hand. You don't want to be planning in a dream.

And don't forget reality checks in waking life too! You might also want to consider trying using a subliminal MP3. I did, and it really worked for getting me out of a dry spell.

Might be kinda obvious, but what is a subliminal MP3?

It is an mp3 which sends your subconscious suggestions to encourage lucid dreaming. Whilst not being aware of the messages consciously, (they may be embedded in the music or played backwards for example) your subconscious will be trying to figure out the messages in the background, and will hopefully help you to become lucid.

Ya, you can buy 8 hour tracks for the whole night.

You may find that any type of music helps, but it is best to buy a specific lucid-dreaming track.

You'll be able to find some links posted to download them in the Lucid Aids section from time to time
