Just wonderin' how many "naturals" are out there?
You should have an option for "little of both" Because I feel that I'm a natural but I also have to work at it! But I will vote learned...
(we are talking about lucid dreaming.... yes?)
Same here, Alaurast! ;)
The thing with me is that I used to have them as a kid, and they slowed as I went through puberty and such. So now I'm trying to start having them as often, or even more often, than I did before.
I'll have to say pure learned here. Though I do remember one lucid dream when I was young.
same as squall. Pure learned it aswell. the only thing that i had that wsa close to lucid dreaming in all my life was having superpowers in my dreams and even then they were rare.
Now though, I have dreams about superpowers all the time(i guess my awareness increased or something)
actually i must say that like most on you it faded with puberty...well more like after the teenage years were over, but a lot of that has to do with stress levels that go through the roof once you hit early adulthood :P I guess you could say that you are more of a sceptic once you hit that age group too.
Learned.
First with mild, RC and dream jornal.
Now with Wake Back to Bed Method
I naturally had them, but not too often, and it only took me one week to get them to come regualrly. Where does that fall? I naturally learned it well... :P
natural, but i need to practise, i have had 1 i cna recall, and i bet i've had afew more that i can't, also i just tried to have a WILD on my first attempt and came very close...so im must be somewhat of a natural.
I think that everyone is a natural....The question is are you in tune with it. To me being a natural is that you can clearly remember having a lucid dream before doing all the fancy stuff to encourage them. Having to use all the different methods I think would be considered learned...although I used to have them randomly but now I have to work at it too....
I think that children are just more in tune with their other side....
Yeah I think that's true. I think everyone was a "natural" as a child, then other things in life started getting in the way, i.e. worries about school, work, responsibilities.. stupid growing up-ness! lol :PQuote:

I think that sums it up nicely. Kids knwo how to play, imagine things so well its like that reality is real while theyre there, and have fun in general. Until its beaten out of us....bastards...... :pissed:Quote:

Yeah, i'm naturally good-looking. ;)
I was a natural for a good 10 years before I found out that it even had a name. I was probably ready to give it my own name at that point.
Unlike the experience of some of you, I continued to have a lot of lucid dreams through puberty and my teenage years. It was when I became an adult that naturally occuring lucid dreams seemed to happen less often.
I think the question about whether you are a natural or not is aimed at discovering if we naturally had lucid dreams prior to making use of any technique for inducing them. I also think that virtually every natural will have also made use of the induction techniques once they learned about them. So for that reason I think all naturals could vote for either the first or third option, so the numbers split between those two options might be a bit misleading at the end.
