New and saying Hello.

I found this place when on google looking for info on Sleep Paralysis and Lucid Dreams.
Ive had SP since I was a child and at around age 24(29 now) I started to get out of the paralysis and move around in the room.
Everything in the room and apartment looks normal but its unfortunately not in color.Its different shades of grey,usually very dark.
I havent had many experiences being "under attack" since I started moving around but the darkness scares me.
I can sometimes relax enough to go into " deeper sleep" without dreaming but sometimes,alot of times I get stuck and cant get out.
I usually have to try 3-5 times,really hard,before waking up.
When moving around Im almost always feeling drowsy and heavy,as if Im extremely heavy,I need to focus alot to move around.
Moving feels more like floating than walking.
The last experience that I had,last night,I realised that I couldnt close my eyes because " I had no eyes"...haha..if that makes sense.
Also had pins and needles feeling all over my body.
Never seen anything looking human,but have heard voices..

Ah, sounds like sleep paralysis at it's nastiest. The best way to cure this is to stop fearing sleep paralysis all together. And if you don't fear it, try to make it fun. I know this sounds completely crazy, you're probablly thinking "How am I supposed to enjoy it when all this crazy stuff is happening?".

Well, SP can be quite crazy, and the manifestations and stuff you get out of it directly rely on your sub-conscious. So, if you begin to want to enjoy SP, you may find that it won't be as bad.

That was exactly what I was trying to do the other night.
I was trying to imagine myself in this bright light,coming from inside me an moving out until it created this protective bubble of light around me.
At the same time I came to think of singing that" This little light of mine,Im gonna let it shine"I had fun with it,started singing louder and louder and feeling quite strong.
Then it was as if something just took over my voice completely and started to giggle,and then a much darker(like a male voice) said something,extremely fast,couldnt make out the words at all.
That freaked me out cause I didnt see that coming and I immediately snapped out of my protective bubble and everything and started going for an exit.I had fallen asleep in the guestroom and was trying to float into out bedroom where my bf was sleeping.
I didnt make it because next thing I know,theres buzzing and that pins and needles feeling.
Then I just started screaming and squeezing my hands together,thinking it woul eventually wake me up.Also thought,the way I held my hands together there would be no way Id wake up in a different position....but I did.

Ive had these before but the one the other night,seriously felt like something was messing with me,perhaps not something bad,but def something.
Kinda brought me back to square one in dealing with the fear.

I didn't remember it until you just said something, but I remember this happening to me once, when I was in middle school. It wasn't Sleep Paralysis, but it was the most vivid dream I had ever had in my life, and at the end of it (as the world seemed to be sucked into a hole in the ground and fire shot out everywhere) I remember hearing a voice like that.

The only thing I remember about it was that it was extreamly evil sounding, and sounded a lot like a song KoRn would sing. (Twist, for anybody that knows what I'm talking about.)

I'm new too. I think we have a lot in common Fairytale; I've been having occasional SP for almost a decade now and mine always includes feelings of terror and hallucinations. Just the other night I found myself unconscious, but aware of my body in bed, aware that I was experiencing SP, and with a demon choking me that I knew wasn't real.

My goal with sleep paralysis is to simply bear through it to get past into real sleep. I get SP when I'm sleep deprived, so I usually need the sleep, but if I wake myself up and go back to sleep again I'll just enter SP again . . . So basically I have to experience SP if I want to sleep.

I'm not sure about Amaze's comments about how we can all learn not to be afraid during SP. SP is a neurological condition and the fear is part of whatever is going wrong in the brain when it tries to enter REM sleep, but doesn't quite . . . That's at least the case with me: I'm notoriously difficult to scare and I've never really had nightmares, but as soon as I enter SP, I feel fear. And the apparitions are a result of the fear state not the other way around; I always feel fear first and the things I see usually don't scare me because I know they're not real. Of course, I'm sure that different people have different degrees of fear during SP, so it may be possible to eliminate fear depending on what's going on with an individual's particular anatomy. I know that my dad's had SP, but never had any fear or hallucinations whatsoever.

I don't want to give the impression that SP is unbearable for me, or that I need advice in dealing with it. It's usually interesting more than anything, and temporarily inconvenient. And since it's difficult for me to be scared by things like movies, it's actually fun to be frightened every now and then.

I have good news too:-p
I FINALLY had a colorful LD,but it took alot of shouting for it and what I think was a false awakening and then falling asleep again before it happened.
I also wasnt alone,my bf was with me(sleeping,haha) and it was quite cool.
It got a little creepy at first,I had different sizes of hands touch my right hand and scratch my palm,so what I did was reach out to my roomie and take his hand and put it on my arm,and that was what changed everything.
I heard music in the background too,the type I NEVER listen too,haha.
So,feeling alot better now.
