Whats the difference between the WBTB - WILD and and a WBTB - DILD? i dont understand?
Well, WBTB - WILD, you actually stay conscious throughout the whole thing. With a DILD, you actually fall asleep and then become conscious and aware that its a dream. Personally, I've found DILDs to be easier than WILDs, although it varies with each person, so I'd try em both and see what works for you.
A WBTB is just waking up after a few hours sleep and then going back to sleep and usually trying another technique. The WILD enhances your chances of going lucid.
A WILD is going straight into a lucid while being conscious, usually very hard to do!
A DILD is a spontanious lucid dream.
thanks. so why WBTB for a DILD, instead of stayin asleep? Imagine already being in the middle of a lucid dream and the alarm goes to wake you up for your WBTB!?
One reason might be because after several hours (and cycles) of sleep, you enter REM stage more quickly, and for longer periods. Part of the idea for the WBTB/DILD (and MILD), is that you'll be closer in time and to that period of consciousness where you were focused on becoming lucid - i.e. the time from when you fall asleep until you enter dream state is much shorter than after you initially go to bed that evening.
Of course, that doesn't mean it wouldn't suck to have your alarm for WBTB go off while you were already in the middle of a DILD.
