      Dream Sex?

      Hello All,

Brand new to the forum. Love it! I've been looking for a good active forum for awhile now.

Anyway, I had a question about lucid dreaming and sex and I was hoping to get a little insight.

About two nights ago, I became lucid in my dream for the first time in about five months. Lucidity is something I barely achieved for the first time about a year ago. Since then, I've had maybe four lucid dreams - some more intense than others. This particular one is the best one I've had so far.

But for some reason, even though I know I'm dreaming and can do whatever I want, my mind always turns to sex and seeking out a sexual encounter with somebody. I don't really get this. It's almost like I'm not lucid. Like my cursed female libido is out of control.

Does anybody have any info on this or is this typical for a lot of people? I want to get to the point where I can become lucid and decide, "Eh, I'll have sex with my boyfriend when I wake up. How about going to the moon instead?"

Is this perhaps because I'm new to lucid dreaming? I've heard that most people opt to fly when they become lucid. Maybe this is just my "default lucid action" if you know what I mean?
"You know, I'm sick of following my dreams, man. I'm just going to ask where they're going and hook up with 'em later."

      Hey Kaeraz, welcome to Dreamviews!

The urge to have dream sex is very strong, and a lot of people have the same problem you do. You're on the right track with the "I'll do it when I wake up" mentality. Just take the time to think about all of the cool things you can do during your dream that you can't do during real life. You can have sex in real life, but you can't go to the moon, fly, shape-shift, etc.

It may help you to plan out your lucid dream before you go to bed every night. Just visualize yourself becoming lucid in a dream, and then doing something cool. This technique of visualizing is also known as VILD, and used to obtain lucidity.

Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

If you don't lucid dream very often your brain isn't used to it and gets scared. It tries to give you ways that it thinks will make you non-lucid or wake you up and sex is the best at that. That's why I always tell people to stay away from sex in dreams, after all, you can have it when you wake up.

Write down what you want to do in your lucid dreams before bed, that way you're not thinking of things to do. While you're consciously thinking, your dream creation lab is working much faster and will just throw a hot guy at you.

kaeraz, when I first started lucid dreaming, almost every dream became some kind of sexual encounter.. so you're not alone if it helps hearing it from another female.

You will get over the "fascination" with lucid sex after awhile (or at least be able to delay it until you've gone to the moon first).

Even many years after my first lucid, the urge is very strong. However, all my very favorite lucids have been when I resisted, or when something else was already happening that drew my attention enough.

My favorite thing to do in lucids now is to stop and take in the environment, and let things happen naturally, "playing along" with the story as it unfolds.

Am I the only one who enjoys sex in dreams? They make up a minority of my lucid dreams, which may be why I'm not upset by them, but in a lucid you can create your ideal sexual encounter without consequences. It's true sexual freedom. And if you took control of your sexual lucids you'd be practicing skills in dream control.

I don't think anyone here doesn't enjoy it. I find it very enjoyable myself. The question is how to get past the compulsion from time to time.

Everybody who has been here for a while knows that people go thru that sex-crazed stage at first; nothing to worry about.

I also thought it was a problem; it was fun, of course, but I wanted to do other things too. I made the same thread, I think.

Anyway, my SC seems to have come to a compromise. I either do it right away at the beginning of the lucid and get the physical thing out of the way (and that's what it will be like; just like an orgasm without much else, just like a vague fantasy); or else it will somehow get incorporated into the story of the dream and be a real encounter with a DC. I don't really consciously pick which one, it just seems like one or the other happens.

So you can both have your sex and other lucid things too. Just...do both!

I don't know what it is with lucids and sex, but they sure do go together in my mind. I'm glad I'm not the only one or I'd think there was something wrong with me.

The problem is that many times we want to do something else, something that can't be done in real life, but instead we get distracted by sex. Additionally, for many people sex will end the dream due to the excitement, killing off a perfectly good lucid.

Weird o.O, when I get lucid the last thing on my mind is sex, but thats because I know it'll wake me up. Maybe you could get your fix before you go to bed?

I just had a lucid sex dream the other night. I'm still a newbie at LD. I've only had three. All of them DILD's. This one as soon as I realized I was dreaming the first thing that came to mind was 'I'm going to get a blowjob". I know it's not the most intellectual persuit, but it was the first thing that came to mind. I guess I'm a lil hard up at the moment. Anyways, I was able to exert complete control over the dream ran over to this girl, dropped my pants and jumped on to this table, laying on my back and she did her thing. It was awesome, as good as the real thing if not better. When I ejactulated, it sprayed all over the ceiling.

But then I woke up. I guess thats the down side of lucid dream sex. When I check myself I didn't actually cum in real life. Actually I've never actually cum in my sleep. I guess most peoples sex dream end in a mess. I probably should be thankful.

      I guess it's pretty normal.
I have done this in the most strange times, just when i realise when i was lucid.
The first thing that gets into the head is sex.

But now i learnt that when i get lucid i'm NOT going to have sex. My dreams use to fade when i have sex, so i rather fly. that's an amazing feeling. (just in case if you haven't tried it in a dream)

Do you automatically wake up after dream sex? Is it possible to stay in the lucid?

Funny thing about that, the last time I had my lucid dream, I had several sexual encounters. Although, "encounters" never included full intercourse. So I didn't wake up, but I suppose that if I had done the deed all the way, I might have.

It's definitely possible, and many people have done it. The problem is usually the excitement, which almost always kills a lucid dream. If you can manage to control your feelings, you have a much better chance.

Well, you could always combine them and have sex ON the moon. Best of both worlds!

Best idea I've ever heard - ever. Gotta check out that null gravity sex.

I know a lot of people don't like using condoms. So, any sex fiends here can just enjoy it in there dream. No STD's, and no pregnant women, different people every single time you sleep, with out being called any rotten names! xD. Or... Disturbing others in the house/ nearby. Well, unless you make noises while you sleep, then that's your problem.

Sex definitely seems to be the first thing on most peoples minds, especially when you are just starting to LD, eventually you can just work to suppress that sex drive but it is always there in the back of your mind while you LD. It took me a while to get past immediately doing the person next to me once i became lucid. But just try thinking about all the other fun stuff you could do, fly, breathe underwater, find aliens, that type of thing. eventually you will get over it, but hey it is fun to experiment hehe
~I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.~
