I've never actually taken it, but it is my understanding that it does help improve in some areas, however there has also been a lot of people thinking that its more of a placebo thing. I know the details and i believe it is supposed to help, but it is also my understanding that you are required to take quite a lot, dosage, if you can call it that.
Just have a look around, the dreaming and lucid dreaming forums on here and you should find some better answers, but a straight and direct answer to your question, yes, it should improve your dream vividness, but please do bare in mind that it varies from person to person, one person may be stressed and it may not work as well, whilst someone may be calm and it works wonders. I'm no trying to put you off, but i just want you to know all the details.
B6 is an alternative, but don't take it all the time, if you learn by yourself by recording your dreams down in a dream journal you will often find that your dream vividness will increase.
Just a thought.
I take it and I always notice a difference when I go on it and off of it. It works well for me.
You want a straight answer: yes.
thcisme, I also noticed that when I took vitamin B that my dreams seemed more vivid.
The following post is one of many that speaks of vitamin B and its effects:

It definitely works to increase dream vividness, and that will often help with lucidity.
