Why don't you tell us about yourself? Also ask any questions you may have.
Okay well, like i said I'm new to lucid dreams. I've been keeping a log of my dreams for the past little while and have been having decent recall. I have been writing a new word on my hand everyday as a reality check so I'm hoping that'll work soon.
I don't think I've been at it enough to have any questions that I can't find an answer to yet, so I'll just keep plugging away.
My most recent experience was hearing a conversation just before i fell asleep, but i couldn't do anything with it.

Hey, welcome to DV!
Wow, you're going strong on the right track. Keep it up and you'll be having a lucid dream very soon! :boogie:
I like the idea of writing a new word on the hand everyday. I'd never read about that technique before, but it sounds real interesting. I'll start that tomorrow and try it for a few days and see how it works.
Also, the conversation that you heard just before you fell asleep were Hypnagogic Imageries (HIs). That means you were pretty close to a successful WILD (Wake-Induced Lucid Dreaming) already. Good job! :D
:welcome: to DreamViews, Bacon.
You are on the right track; keep it up and you will get lucid.
Have fun, and let us know when it happens! :)
Thanks for all the replies everybody. Another strike this night, heard talking again before sleeping. During a dream, I managed to check my hand and saw math problems all up and down my arm instead of "ike", hawaiian for insight, knowlege. After that i woke up cause i think i was too excited.
Does anybody have a trick that'll help me not wake up after i realize i'm dreaming?
Thanks,
Bacon the Pig
That's a common problem at first. It takes some practice to learn to remain calm. Try to focus on something, like an object in your dream, and take a few seconds to get your thoughts together. Then if you have a task in mind, you can attempt that. Just try to get one thing accomplished in your first few dreams.
nice bro! i'm gonna have to start doing that reality check
good luck tonight
thanks man. same to you bro
