Help?
Whenever I go lucid in a dream, and I try to control it, I always awaken. Ya see, I lucid dream a lot, but when I go too far off track from the plot of the dream, it ends. If I follow the plot from the dream, I stay. Like if my dream is at school, and I leave the school? Poof. Or if the dream is totally realistic and I shoot a laser from my finger? Poof. I don't know what I can do to keep from waking up. What fun is a lucid dream if you can't DO anything? Advice please?

Well... my advice is rather simple. If you're still a beginner, then I suggest you try and stay within the 'original' scenery. Just try to stay there, don't try to do anything "fun". Just hang back and observe everything. Look at the seemingly mundane objects that surround you and interact with them. Feel them, manipulate with them etc. Only when your dream world has become a little more... stable... can you move on.
I think.
But yeah... little, simple things first, bigger ones later.
Patience. :)

I'll try it, but your method seems like I would have to do it every time. Is that just a temporary fix, or will my dreams gradually become more stable?

Welcome!
I hope you enjoy your stay =]

I also agree since you are a beginner try to make the scene stay the same and when you feel like your ready move a little out of the scene and then the next LD farther and farther and then you will finally be able to move from place to place.

My advice is find your dream guide wherever your dream is taking place(a dream guide meaning someone or something that guides you). Ask your dream guide what you need to do to stay in the dream. If you get an answer try following it.
This should trick your sub-conscience into believing this and Viola :)
I'm not 100% sure it would work but it should.
