what is it?
hello guys,
im new around and i really like the idea of lucid dreaming...
and ive read alot and researched.. but i got one question
sometimes when im laying down in my bed.. or in school (xD) i just close my eyes.. concentrate on the SOUNDS around me not on the visual images behind my eyelids.. and after about 2-3 min i start dozing off into another world, memories come back to me, long forgotten memories... including dreams ive had in the past... (by "past" i mean 5-6 YEARS ago )
lots of childhood memories etc...
the question is... WHAT IS THIS??
its sort of like a dream-state, but random memories and images appear, i disconnect from the outside world.. and it lasts about 10-15 min..
i can clearly FEEL my eyes moving around very fast behind my eyelids... not on purpose..
and i usually forget the most part of what i saw or remembered ... like in a dream...
the question is... is this some sort of induced REM sleep while awake?

Welcome to the forum!
Well memories can just occur through dreams, have you ever had a dream that you remember containing a memory from when you was a little child? Some memories just manifest themselves.
With the sounds, it makes me think that you have gone into or atleast starting having sleep paralysis and have gotten the audio that comes along with it.
The conscious to dream thing you are explaing could be the WILD.

the thing is... im not SLEEPING... it takes me about 2-3 min while sitting down with my eyes closed... and thats it...
its like inducing a dream without ever going to sleep... in about 3 min
plus...
i can do it ANYTIME... at will
just like that
i also feel my breathing coming up short... and my body growing numb..

Wow weird. Perhaps it's like a WILD or VILD however without the transition stage. So you are in the stages of going to sleep but don't just make it. Or day dreaming :P

sort of like daydreaming... but literally.. lol
and i never have the intention of going to sleep...
its really weird because theres absolutely no threads about this in this forum...
as far as ive looked..
