Just last night after i read most of the lucid article i had a lucid dream, or at least i think i did.
It was really weird yet really short.
i was in a maze and i was like, "hmmmm i must be dreaming. Oh wait i am dreaming" and i got really excited and moved around the maze then it turned pitch black. can you guys help me make it last longer. i know it takes practice but can you give me some ideas

Don't worry about the dream ending - your first lucid dream is very exciting. Excitment is usually the cause of the end of a lucid dream, so your first one ending because of excitement is normal. Next time, try to calm yourself as soon as you realize that you're dreaming. Then, make a plan of what you're going to do. Take it one thing at a time - if you want to fly, then fly. After that, calm yourself and plan your next activity - phasing through matter, shape shifting, etc.
Also, try spinning your dream body if you feel the dream beginning to end. This should stop the dream from ending, but be aware that it can sometimes change the dream scene.
