Introduction I guess
Hey all. I'm not new to the field of lucid dreaming, although it's been a year or two since I last got involved with it. I've never succeeded in having a lucid before, although I've gotten relatively close.
Anyway I got back into it about a month ago and I've been reading this forum for a while, so I know a lot of the people on here. I say that to avoid people being freaked out when I mention them lol.
I contracted a fairly mild case of tonsillitis yesterday and consequently stayed home from school today. I knew that you have a better chance of lucid dreaming when it's not in your usual sleep patterns, so I figured it would give WILDing another shot. Here's what happened; it's fairly frustrating lol:
I must have fallen asleep, because I dreamed that I was reading this forum and I found a link called "Clairity's Guide to WILDing" I don't remember at the moment if that's a real link here or not. Anyway I clicked on it and suddenly found myself sitting in a relaxing chair and Clairity was there in person telling me how it was going to work. She held cotton balls over my eyes while explaining that when she counted to 5 I would start feeling vibrations, and then when she got to 10 I would be lucid and in a WILD. Unfortunately, I woke up before she got to 5.
So I know I'm not alone in stupid ways to miss becoming lucid, but this one's especially frustrating because I do RCs like every 2 minutes while I'm reading this forum... I should have caught on. AND I was having a dream about a person who I associate a lot with lucid dreaming, trying to help me have a lucid dream, and I NEVER BECAME LUCID.
Lol anyway that's me. Good to finally talk to all you :)

:welcome: to the forum! :D
If you need help becoming lucid, you should check the Tutorials section, or maybe the Attaining Lucidity section.
Yeah, stupidly missing lucidity hits me too sometimes. :P it's a bit frustrating. You seem to have a really bad case of it. :P
Don't hesitate to PM me or someone with green stars with any questions.

Yeah I'm aware of all the techniques and stuff you need to become lucid... I dunno I have a mild case of ADD so it's hard for me to focus on lucid dreaming while I'm trying to go to sleep. I think I just need to reestablish my RC habits and wait for them to bleed into my dreams.
Meh I just have to be patient and keep trying I suppose.

Welcome, I'm glad you finally joined. It's nice to meet you...:)
I read this forum almost a month, too, before I joined. I found it's much more fun when you can interact with everyone.
I know it can be frustrating when you keep missing things that should make you lucid. I still do that at times. But don't let that get you down. Keep trying. Have you tried the WBTB method? That's how I have my best success.
Let us know how it goes...

I've seen that acronymn (WBTB) everywhere, but I have yet to find a definition. What is it?

Wake back to bed.....sleep for about 4-6 hours, wake up, and go back to bed :P

Thanks now I can connect that method and that acronymn lol.

There's a slightly more detailed explantion of WBTB here: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=5397
