How long have you been trying to become lucid? It's not something you can accomplish overnight or even in a few weeks/months. It sounds like you're just starting up, in which case you shouldn't be too worried.
We have a ton of resources on this site that you can access. You should have gotten a PM from one of our Dreamguides. They are more than willing to help you out as well.

Welcome to the forum! :welcome:
Sounds like the first thing you need to do is work on recall. You have the right idea starting a journal. You should keep it next to your bed with a flash light. And start recording a few notes any time you wake up during the night.
Set a strong intention to remember dreams when you fall asleep. Even if you don't remember anything, write down any feelings you had that you woke up with. Just waking up a for a moment to write something down can sometimes be enough to wake your mind up a little, and help you to remember more of your next dreams.
You probably want to check out the tutorial section of the forum and read through that. I'm sure you will find something helpful there.
Good luck, and feel free to ask any other questions you may have. :)

How can i learn to RECALL dreams if i cannot even enter the DREAM!?....also could some one give me a step by step plan i.E (go to sleep counting or something)....the tutorial section is filled with nonsense like "FAT" and "WILD"
-
Wait a second, All you need to do to enter a dream is fall asleep. You will enter "REM", "Rapid eye movement." Your just not remembering them.
Sounds like you want to try "WILDing," which means "Wake Initiated Lucid Dream" There is also a tutorial on acronyms I think you should look at. You probably don't want to try Wilding first thing.
You should just try to remember normal dreams for now. In order to Lucid Dream you need to be able to remember the normal dreams you have first. Or at least one or two a night.
Edit: Ok, here is the list of acronyms you will find useful for understanding much that is said on this Forum

K...So first Try hard to remember dreams, then once i start remembering them try controling "in DREAM" actions?
-
Yes exactly. But before you can control things, you will need to know your dreaming. So that's the next step after being able to remember dreams. Realize your dreaming. Let me know how you progress, and I will help you along the way as best I can.:)

I recomend getting Stephen Laberge's book its like the bible of Lucid Dreaming

today is my first day too! just do reality checks every hour and eat lots of bananas!

What Caradon said.
You don't dream when you first fall asleep, if you wake up around 3 or 4 then you should be able to use your technique (called WILD.) Be aware though that WILDs are the hardest method to do and you might want to start reading tutorials on DILDs, reality checks, and dream signs.
