Hihihihi to all!
Hello to everyone on dreamviews!
I actually spotted this website a few of years ago, but only now felt like joining because I just moved from London to NY and have waayyy too much free time at the moment.
I've been a lucid dreamer for a long time. I had my first lucid when i was about 10 years old and that was because a DC told me it was a dream!
Since that day i've had no trouble in becoming lucid, although until recently i used to get them nearly every night, now they have been less frequent, maybe once a week. I'm not really sure why :shakehead2:
I absolutely love being lucid, mostly because I find the monotony of everyday life exceedingly boring, but i blame that on my extensive interest in science - when you read too many books on theoretical physics everything becomes trivial.
My most recent lucid dreams have all contained Severus Snape, because i developed a slight obsession after the end of book 7. You can probably figure out the dream details... :boogie:
So, err yeah that's my introduction. I'm more of a face to face kind of person to be honest, i find it harder to communicate through the internet...

i wish my dream characters would tell me that i'm dreaming. I just woke up, time to write in my DJ

:welcome: Stick around, it's always nice to have people with your kind of experience around here, but I'm sure that even you can learn from DV. :)

Ehh, i wouldn't really say that i had a tonne of experience per-se, i mean i guess a lot of the people come to these forums to learn how to LD, i'm not the one to ask. It just happened to me one day, and since then i've just been able to become lucid in my dreams without any methods.
The only thing i really know is that to achieve good LD's and control you have to have an unconventional way of thinking. I have an extremely wild imagination and I'm pretty sure that's partly responsible for this ability.
In other words sometimes it is tough to control the dream world because your logical subconcious refuses to let things happens i.e a DC you want appearing out of nowhere. That's why some people find it easier to imagine that the DC they want will get off a bus etc, rather than be able to summon them.
Actually i think you sum it up pretty well with your matrix quote .. :p
