Quick Question.
I used to be able to control my dreams when i was in high school. Then i went to college and found alcohol and other stuff that didnt let me dream as much. Anyways...
I read on here something about aliens in your room. Is this Lucid dreaming? Because i had one of those typical alien dreams when i was in high school. The one where there were three of them around my bed and a bright white light was coming in through the window.
Thoughts???

Lucid dreaming is being aware that you are dreaming.
Did you realize you were dreaming when you were surrounded by the aliens?

Sounds like a typical dream to me. Was it incredibly realistic? Like you felt like you were awake, but you couldn't move? If so, that was sleep paralysis coupled with a false awakening.
Nothing to be alarmed about. :) It's just a matter of realizing it's only a dream.
I had a false awakening the other night where I thought I woke up in my bed, but I knew something was wrong - I felt almost like a was being strangled. I did a reality check by plugging my nose only to find that I was actually dreaming. Knowing that it's only a dream really helps to ease your mind.

Yeah, lucid dreaming is just knowing that you're dreaming.
Having aliens in your room isn't lucid dreaming unless it makes you realize that it's a dream. It actually sounds kind of creepy :P

It was. It was very REAL. The light coming in through my window and the curtains fluttering...
