There are so many naturals I'm beginning to wonder why so many people don't believe in lucid dreams.

I just joined the board last week and I think I may be a natural as well. I first began having lucid dreams about 4 years ago when I was a freshman in college and I thought they were the most amazing things in the world, I tried to tell my friends about it but they just couldn't understand and thought I was making it up. So I decided to keep it to myself and after awhile they faded. But they have come back just over the last week since I've joined this board and gone hunting for them.
I think I exert too much control when I become lucid and completely change my dreamscape to what I want it to be. After reading about some others experiences with lucid dreams I think I need to try to relax more and go with the flow and see where my mind was originally planning on taking me, instead of spinning around and changing directions right away.
Is it true that some people really don't believe in lucid dreams!? What, do they think we are all crazy? Haha.

Lucidnina, there's a chance you're exerting too much control, but you never know. If you LD all the time, you might tone it down, but if it's just once in a while I don't think exerting control is hurting things. If you go Lucid, try summoning a Dream Guide and ask them if what you're doing is alright. Make sure you get a straight answer...which may be difficult, but it's worth a shot.
I think some people may not believe in LDs, but I think it's more common for people to react adversely in a social type environment, so as to not appear as if they're interested in something "bizarre." It could also be that ppl don't think that they could ever learn to LD so they just decide to discard the idea as ridiculious. That's just my opinion.
