Welcome to the forum Penguin! Looks like you have already gotten some good answers to your questions.:) Yeah, Lucidity just means you know your dreaming. Many people mistake that for not getting your rest. Your mind is plenty active in any dream. knowing your dreaming doesn't affect your rest any.

And yeah, I fly all the time in my Lucids. And I can tell you, it feels awesome!

About your cardream question: that's really easy to answer. Were you aware you were dreaming at the time of the dream? Were you actually in a situation in which you thought: "Hey! Wait! This is a dream!"? If so, you were Lucid Dreaming. If not, you just had a really vivid dream.
