Visits...Not dreams

I am certainly new here, so I figured I should post here under newbies in the hopes that maybe you guys may be able to help me in what most call dreams, but my medium and I call "visits".

My fiance was murdered on January 23, 2008 and ever since I have had many, many visits from him, about him, about different events, and experiences during waking hours as well.

Visits and dreams are not the same! I know this for a fact. I have found your tutorial regarding the astral interesting and will continue to practice this until I succeed.

My question??? I've bombarded my medium so much that I should just go and ask her, but having different opinons or ideas seems to be more advantageous. Question...I've taken some pictures of some fish that he drawed on my windshield and at the same time captured what I'm going to call "the many faces from the other side". I have sat and studied and have found so many faces of "dogs". And just this morning upon waking, I would close my eyes and see a different dog's face in slow motion and they continuely changed. So many, many dogs. And they're all gorgeous!

Does anyone know what it would mean or reference from the other side when they show you so many animals? I'm just on a mission to understand everything I can possibly from this man that I love more than life itself!

I may be in the wrong place here and if so, please let me know, k?

Sorry, I have no real advice, but i'd like to say i'm sorry to hear about you fiance.

As for the the reason there showing animals, wow, i'm guessing some of what your seeing when you wake up may just be your imagination. I'm not sure. You have any animals linked to you fiance and you?

Sometimes I think it is my imagination and when I do, something else happens. As for a dog related to us, yes, we bought a lab puppy in Oct 07. He absolutely loved this dog!

There are quite a few pictures of labs as well, but so many other breeds too. Located in one of the fish pictures is a mask, the tragedy mask, and right next to it is a picture of a lab. I'd be happy to share these pictures if someone can look at them and maybe find answers within them.

for the visits that happen just as you wake up or just as you are about to fall asleep then that would be as a result of SP (sleep paralysis) which i myself am no expert at and other members should be able to help you out on it but it is basically when you are paralyzed and can see imagess as if you were dreaming but while you are awake, and sometimes you can even hear sounds. so some of the visits if they happened when you were just going to sleep or just waking up might not have any meaning and can be just as a result of SP, and for while you are awake, i have no idea at all, just remember to live your life and not just live out the "riddles from the other side" that he is leaving you, it is understood for your life to be a little out of whack when a loved one (especially really close like spouse or immediate family like mom dad brother sister) dies because of all your emotions so yeah and i am sorry to hear about your fiance too, hopefully he is in a better place now.

maybe the signs might all mean that he knows you love him and he wants you to move on for YOUR good and not stay in the past to try and "stay behind" with him if that makes any sense.

I don't know much about visitations but in regards to the dogs I think you should ask yourself what dogs mean to you. If they are repeatedly showing up they must represent something. Take a few minutes, write down the word DOGs on a sheet of paper. Then beneath that write down any and everything that dogs represent to you. If your thoughts start to stray into odd territory keep writing still. Once you feel there is nothing left to write, leave that piece of paper alone for a few hours. Go about your usual business and then come back to your writing. View it with fresh eyes and see if there is something written on that paper that might clue you in to why you keep seeing dogs.

Sometimes you'll be amazed at the associations you've made.
I tried association once in regards to nightmares I had many years ago. Once I re read what I'd written I realized that those dreams were messages to myself. Maybe those dogs of yours are carrying a secret message meant just for you.

I highly doubt that its your imagination ...and you said that everytime you think that, something else happens...thats not a coincidence. i believe that your fiance is trying to guide you, trying to give you messages. You said he LOVED dogs ..thats probably why you see them frequently. i myself lost someone very close to me... my step father was murdered 2 years ago. Just after he past away i was sitting in my room getting ready for school and all of a sudden i smelt his calogne ... i could smell it VERY well. I got up, i couldnt smell it anymore, so i sat back down ..and there it was. As i was sitting there, i got this overwhelming feeling come over me ... the whole top part of my body felt tingly, As if he just gave me a huge hug ... it was amazing. A few more things happened but i wont get into that right now ... i would love to see those pictures if you wouldnt mind?

If you believe that these visions have special meaning, then they do. If you want to encourage more of them, you can read around about Hypnagogic and Hypnopompic Imagery (HI). There are various mediations you can do to help make these more vivid and bring them about more often.

I have experienced this before with peoples faces. Sometimes if I get in the right zone, I will see a stream of changing peoples faces that all morph into the next. I never recognize any of the people, but they can be so vivid and full of emotion.

I wonder if we should move this thread to Beyond Dreaming? People there may be better able to help you interpret these visions.
