What Should I Choose???
The main goal of the night is to have a lucid dream... (Just like any other night)
I had a lucid dream two days ago after I tried new techniques that I created and with the help of only two hours of sleep the night before... I've never succeeded in WILDing but I want to get better... Should I go for a DILD or try to WILD??? All of my lucid dreams have been DILDs and the technique of staying still when you wake up from a dream...

Sometimes a failed WILD brings a DILD.

Be greedy and go for both in the same night.

Yep, failing a WILD tends to lead me into a WBTB because it was the last thing that I was thinking about before falling asleep. Try WILD, if it fails you might have a DILD. :D

As long as you're not burning yourself out, try a couple techniques in combination. I like to think of my DILD as just backup. I try for WILD, and like everyone else said, if it fails I have a good chance of getting a DILD.
I have good success with DEILD, like you described, but I find that I sometimes run the risk of forgetting my dream. I have lost some good dreams by trying to lie still and reenter them instead of writing them down.
