Welcome to the Site delejacks!
Start reading up on all the information on this site. Fill your head with Lucid Knowledge and read about other peoples experiences.
I dream journal is a great place to start. Also start doing reality checks throughout the day.
But most of all, enjoy it!
:D
:welcome: we love drmrgrl! :D Check out the tutorials on the home page and the one on DILDs in the tutorial section.
Welcome to Dream Views! :D
Yeah, check out the tutorials and quick start guide and let us know if you have any questions about any of it.:)
Basically all you need to do is question if your dreaming so often that you eventually do it in your sleep. Then if your doing a lot of reality checks you will remember to do one and get Lucid. Or maybe you won't even need to RC.
Good Luck!
Hey Delejacks, welcome to the forum. :D
Now, tips? There's actually a lot of tips I could give you right now. So I'll just explain them all, like the nice person I am. I don't know if it's going to end up being one of my giant posts as usual, no matter! I will start naming stuff.
Right then, firstly, are you keeping a Dream Journal? Because that's more than just a tip, that's one of the most important things you will need on this very website. Either you can have one in real life, or you can have one on here, or both! Dream Journals help increase the skill to remember dreams at night, so they seem longer. If you're lazy like me though, you'll probably want to just write down keywords on a piece of paper in the mornings though so you'll remember it later on. If you choose to have one on this fantastic website, the link is following. But if you need help, read the introduction, and if you need inspiration, read other people's Dream Journal for ideas, or read mine which is in my signature. Here's the link to Dream Journal forum - Click
Another great tip it to practice doing Reality Checks now and then, in a dream, when you a Reality Check, you're asking yourself whether you're dreaming. You'll either get it spot on, or not. It differs for different people but for most people, they do work. An example would be as follows: You're in a dream, you see a pink elephant float into the window and say "I like gravy, you want to eat gravy with me?", you notice this is extremely weird and strange. You look at your hands, you see you have twenty fingers and fifty thumbs, you know you're dreaming because it's just impossible to have those sort of hands in real life. A tip for this for this would be that the human brain cannot generate hands properly in dreams, so there is mostly always something wrong with them. You can read up on more information on Reality Checking here - Click
Dream Signs are of importance too. They are the things that occur in almost every dream, for example: I mostly always dream I'm in school, that's my Dream Sign. Every time I dream I'm in school, I will do as I gave as an example before, I'll look at my hands, if my hands are impossible, I'm dreaming! Simple as that, but sometimes things can be a little different, you may not find your Dream Sign yet. No worries, it will come around sooner or later! More information on this can be found on the Lucid Dreaming Quick Start Tutorial which is here - Click
Other than Dream Signs, you may want to have a read of that anyway to get a few more tips and a few tricks.
As other people have mentioned, yes, reading up on peoples posts on this site and reading information on the matter in general will help you on your journey to lucidity and to know you're dreaming at a faster rate.
Lastly, as also mentioned, check the tutorial section if you want to view some of the more popular induction methods for Lucid Dreaming. That section is here - Click
From what I've typed hopefully you will begin to learn some of the basic tips on Lucid Dreaming. I hope so anyway.
