      Hi, I'm New. HELP. =]

Alright, here is the thing. I saw this site and I knew I'd get help. Thanks so much for the people who try to help me here.

      Problem-Question-

Ok, i knew about LDing and I wanted to try it for sometime now, I've been practicing remembering my dreams. One morning, I woke up, same routine, but then I took a short nap and I started thinking er..rewatching my past dream absentmindley and suddenly, I feel this tremor or..I really dont know how to describe it, but I felt something sucking me into being lucid. I hope I was becoming lucid. But I kept on avoiding the feeling because honestly, at first I was scared, I thought my body was being sucked out. I started saying the "lucid dreaming words", which are "Next time I am dreaming, I will know I'm dreaming" over over. And again this tremor thingie started pulling my mind somewhere else. I really want to LD but I was like "What the heck just happened"

      So..What did happen? HELP.

Did you feel like you were falling and then jolt back awake? or was it just kind of a quiver of the body?
an how long were you awake for before taking your nap?

Yes It was like I was falling to unconciousness but I was aware of it. And then as if i didn't want to experience it I jolted awake. That was exactly it.

I dunno exactly it was roughly 30min to an hour.

Your body started to fall asleep. When you go to sleep your body completely immobilizes itself to prevent you from acting out your dreams (sleepwalking). The absence of feeling feels really strange and for a while it may feel like you are quivering or even being thrown around. Usually you are asleep for this, but if you are awake it can be quite scary. Don't worry though, it won't hurt you, it happens every time that you fall asleep.

      Oh and to DV!

I think I get what you're saying but, if I stay unconcious for that little bit, will I become lucid? If not, how can i have a lucid dream after that? Do I go with the flow, flow meaning those tremors, or jolts, or something?

Yes, go with the flow. Don't worry if it is scary at first. Your body will adjust if your mind is willing. You can also do some self talk to calm your body. "I am safe" "The vibrations are okay" That kind of thing. Be patient.

Depends on when you do it. If this happens when you are first going to bed at night then no, you will simply eventually loose consciousness, you don't dream then. If you do it in the middle of the night after waking up for some reason then you might go right into a lucid dream, it's called a WILD.
