Dream Recall and Lucid Dreaming Relationship?

      Hi. I have a question.

I've kept a successful dream journal for about two months. Its safe to say that my dream recall has strengthened and I pretty much mastered the whole recall portion. Last night, after about 9 hours of sleep, I remembered 7 dreams. I was ecstatic, but I'm not good at being lucid.

Maybe I just have to recognize my dream signs better.

Does better dream recall have better probability of lucidity?

No, I don't nap. On an average night, I would sleep deeply for 7.5 hours.

i don't think dream recall increases the probability of lucidity, UNLESS you get to know your dream signs and recognize them while dreaming. the main purpose for building up dream recall as i know it is to remember your lucid dreams. there's no point in being lucid if you're just gonna forget right after

i hope this helped and good luck with lucid dreaming.

Having better non lucid dream recall definitely helps you become lucid. Im not sure what forgotten means by correlating non lucid dream recall and lucid dream recall because for me i typically remember lucids just like any waking memory. Tarsier, unless you are experimenting with polyphasic sleeping, i highly recommend avoiding naps at all cost.

Rgb, I just need to know a few more questions before i can help. Are you over weight? Do you have any health problems; including minor ones, Do you exercise daily? Do you frequently consume any of the following; nuts, cane sugar, eggs, or soy? Do you take any supplements? Of course you can pm answers if you want.
