Welcome to dreamviews Esther! We are glad to have you aboard! :)
If you are interested in Lucid Dreaming then you should probably check out the Tutorials Page for some in-depth tutorials on different methods of becoming lucid, the most popular/well known is DILD. You should also familiarize yourself with some Lucid Dream acronyms so you know what people mean when they say something like, "Man, am trying to LD, but every time I try a WILD I can't get past the HI!" You can find that HERE.
Some things to remember if you are going to take up Lucid Dreaming is that you must be MOTIVATED. It takes some people months, sometimes over a year to have their first Lucid Dreams, yet with others they can have one on their first try. If you ever get descouraged, we are always here for you! Also sometimes if you need more motivation it is fun to look at peoples Dream Journals and Lucid Experiances.
Again, welcome to dreamviews! :welcome:

Welcome!
Hello and :welcome: to Dream Views!
-Insanekid- pretty much covered most the basc things to do, but I'll just add a few things :P one of the basic things to do is RCs(Reality Checks), there are numerous RCs such as blocking your nose to see if you can still breathe, looking at your hand and making sure to notice any incongruities, and looking at a writing/digital clock, looking back and seeing if it has changed are just some of the basic RCs, it would be best to do RCs if your planning on doing DILDs but it would still be helpful anyways.
The best time to do RCs is anytime you see one of your Dream Signs (common characteristics, objects, themes, etc, that come up often in your dreams) or when something strange in general happens..
Well yet again, hello and welcome to Dream Views!
