Have you read up on the subject? A good place to start is the dreamviews homepage. It gives a good summary of what it is to lucid dream, the different stages of sleep, how to improve dream recall (what if you lucid dream already, but can't remember?!), and induction techniques. If you read that site, chances are you'll get a good feel on what you should be doing.
My other suggestion, along with checking out the main page, is to start a dream journal. A dream journal will propel your dream recall to incredible levels, and will let you isolate dream signs. It may also help with personal matters (learning more about your own thoughts, etc).
Good luck, and welcome to Dreamviews!
Welcome to DV, guitarhero.
There is a lot of information around the site, especiallly on the homepage (like Abra mentioned) and in the Tutorials section
In addition to what Abra suggested about the Dream Journal, I would start reading about Reality Checks and Wake Back to Bed. If you combine those three things, you will be on your way :)
If you have any questions, ask away.
The tutorials that you should read specifically are the ones about DILDs and Reality checks. Don't worry that you're not able to do it right now, it does take practice and very few people can DILD on command, most of the time they happen randomly and if you're good maybe once a week. When I was starting out I had one about once every other week.
