no
its not wierd, it happens to me alot, there are alot of people who don't get excited because they are used to the dream and that they have had lucid dreams before so they have experience.
Maybe ya just gotta use your imagination and spruce up those LDs..
its different for everyone
I had my first ld a few weeks ago, it lasted for longer than i had expected it too because i wasn't very excited at all, mainly because the dream was kind of washed out, and i had no real sense of touch, hearing etc.
I expect if i had a higher level of lucidity the dream would be much more exciting...
Yeah id agree a high level lucid dream would excite you more, being in a state of control.
Btw welcome, another aussie here is always a good thing ;)
ok now u guyz r stating to make a little more sence. my ld's (tho there has only been 3 or 4 of them) seem to be very similar to muse's. im pretty new at this, i think i understand now.
people that do become excited usually have to calm themselves down to some degree, otherwise they wake up...
so its not really a bad thing. next time you're lucid, try to increase your senses and awareness to make it a little more interesting. This is what i'm planning to do next time i'm lucid.
last night i had a LD and got excited and stuff, and i woke up, only to realize i was still lucid dreaming. So maybe it aint that bad becoming excited
That would be a 'false awakening' ;)
Even after any dream do a reality check to see if your still dreaming, might surprise yourself. In a lucid dream do you guys notice your heart rate, how fast it's pumping and how hard?
Nope. but thats a darn good idea ;)Quote:

Wonder if its a good RC or not :?
WELCOME TO DV!!!!
I would actually think that is a good thing, not getting excited when you become lucid. That might actually wake you up. If I were you I would save the excitement for later...
What are some good techniques to control excitement, in an Ld and also with AP?
When nearing a projection my heart goes nuts and therefore i require more oxygen thus faster breathing, meses up everything?
I get exactly the same thing. I have only had 1 near LD last night and my heart was going into overload and my breathing was hard. My head was spining as images floaded in. I didnt want to open my eyes or move incase I wrecked my chances at getting a LD.Quote:

But do you think I was already in a LD and if I opened my eyes I would be in it?
