Detailed report on a first DILD, with questions.
That's right, ladies and gentleman, I was successful just now (woke up about an hour ago). So you may consider this a report on a DILD.
My dream allowed me to be bored just long enough to do a reality check (I've been doing them all the time in the waking world, but often only when I'm not doing anything else). As I counted up the fingers on my left hand, I became very excited as I went through them to five. Yes, I counted five. What the hell? That said, it has become almost as much a routine to count five as it has to do the check in the first place, which is what I had been afraid of happening. That said, the mere check had allowed just enough cracks in my thoughts for me to get excited and start to question the nature of the reality. Yes, I knew I was dreaming ladies and gents. I'm not sure exactly where I went next, but I trued to spin this top sheet on a bed. As in, lift it off the bed and spin it a few times. It was hard to do, and I also felt the dream slipping away. I tried rubbing my hands together or dream spinning. Problem with dream spinning was that I had lost too much control to spin my body, or so I remember. So I woke up. Actually, it was a false awakening, but I then failed the five finger reality check that I did immediately (because of the reason stated above). That said, I was still a bit unsure about the whole thing. I mean I was in a totally alien bedroom although, as usual, that didn't seem strange at all. I tried to use powers to move things, and I managed two acts (moving an umbrella slightly and turning on a TV as I reached for the remote), but somehow these didn't convince me I had total power and I soon slipped back into the dream where I started watching TV and then became the floating head in the TV world.

So, for someone more experienced... yes, congratulations to me of course, but there has been an inherent problem with my reality checks. What can be done?
