Strange OBE
I was wondering, if you leave your body, are you considered a "ghost" or is it just like dreaming and what happens when you're having OBE doesn't have to do anything with the real world?
I ask because during an OBE yesterday I was walking upstairs, at that moment my girlfriend was walking down. I told her (thinking I was awake) to stay at the top of the stairs til I come up but she just kept on walking. Because the stairs are narrow I kept shouting "what are you doing you want us to fall down" but she just kept coming down and she walked right through me mid way at which point I got really scared thinking I died and started screaming. I awoke shaking just as she walked into the living room.
It really freaked me out.

That sounds pretty spooky  It would be even spookier if your girlfriend had some memory of you telling her to wait at the top of the stairs, or thinking about you as she walked down the stairs.
There are lots of different interpretations of how 'real' OBE is. In my experience, I find that I am normally just having a lucid dream about being in the real world. Either that, or I am somehow in a place that is a few levels out of sync with reality. I've never been able to experience or effect the real world directly. I know other people have had different experiences, so don't take my word for it.
