:welcome: to DV!
I hope you enjoy your stay here and get plenty more lucid dreams.:D
sounds good..nice to meet you. welcome.
:welcome:
Did your recent lucid dream get you interested in dreaming again? Or did you have the dream intentionally after getting back into dreaming?
Well it's a little of both I guess. My recent LD was a result of intentionally working towards becomming lucid more often. Initially I got intrigued by the idea after watching Waking Life last year, but really didn't begin to attempt LD'ing until recently, when I stumbled upon Stephen LeBarge's initial research in a book I was reading on Sleep Disorders. I simply had no idea that one could "learn" to LD. I downloaded a CD from iTunes with him discussing LD'ing and techniques, and began doing RC's and some hypnosis. Since my first intentional LD last Sunday, my interest has skyrocketed (hence my ending up on this site). Anyway, thanks for your interest and support. I think I'm gonna like it here!
Welcome! Waking Life is an interesting film. I would kind of like to re-watch it. Good luck with the forum.
Dont worry. Not only is this place so helpful, the people here are absolutely crazy! ;) And funny.
You had one, and now you're hooked :D
It is so strange that every human being has the potential to experience this amazing state of consciousness, but so few people know about it. So few people even remember their dreams in general, let alone experience lucidity. I wish there was a way to get the word out more. If I had my way, it would be a unit in every elementary school, right between geography and anatomy.
Instead, it is something you have to stumble upon. "By the way, didn't we tell you? Instead of wasting every night of your life blacking out, you can live out all your craziest fantasies, for free, in a hyper real setting." "How come nobody told me this is part of being human?"
It reminds me of my friend, who only found out about sex on her wedding night. She was from a traditional Chinese family, and had no idea before then. Her mother told her that you got pregnant from getting a shot in your arm from a doctor. Then her wedding night rolls around, and... Surprise! Orgasms!?! Oh, nobody told you about those?
^^^^^^^^^^^^ Didn't I tell you? ;)
Anyways I would get rid of all history!
