      Smile I'm a new Dreamer.

      Hello, everyone.

For all of my life, dreams have never ceased to amazing and confuse me. I decided to study dreams a bit. I began keeping a dream journal just a few nights ago, and I can't believe that, just by doing that, my dream-recall, as I've learned it is called, is so much better then it used to be. I've yet to acheive a lucid dream, but I know I'm close.

You see, my reality check is the word 'awake' written on my palm. I look at it frequently throughout the day. Last night, in my dream, I looked at my hand, and it read 'awake' but I could just barely make it out, for it was very faded. I remember thinking, in my dream, 'Well, the ink has just faded; I'll write that again later.' Unfortunatly, I never realized I was dreaming, and remained non-lucid. I can't tell you how disappointed, but amazed I felt when I woke later on.

Anyway, like I was saying, dreams are a ver interesting subject, and I thought it would be a good idea to join a forum that shares the same interest as me.

So, that's about it. I look forward to many interesting, informative, fun, and entertaining conversations with all of you in the threads to come!

      _Matt

Welcome! Yes, a dream journal is an amazing tool to increase dream recall. Plus it is really fun to look back and see what you were dreaming about.

Using a word written on your palm is a great idea I've never heard! Putting more thought into it when you look down at it should push you over the edge into a LD!
