My LD + Is there a name for this?
Hey guys. Well, usually in the mornings I wake up, probably because I hear my family moving around, and just lie there for a while and drift in and our of sleep. I don't think I'm fully conscious, maybe half, since I'm in a hazy state of mind and easily shift to the dream state.
anyway, this morning as I was laying there tired and half asleep I started thinking, "when i go back to dreaming, I will realize I'm dreaming. I will have a lucid dream. I will control my dream", etc. Heres where it got wierd.
Next thing I know I was sitting at a table in greece, where I was a month ago with my family, this time with friends. I knew i was dreaming, yet I was trying to fall asleep and have a lucid dream! I remember saying: guys, I know im sleeping so dont mind me, im going to fall asleep and try to have a lucid dream", then i started repeating the affirmations above. This was strange, because if I knew i was dreaming, why would I try to LD? I thought either I had a very very bad LD where I was only half sure I was dreaming, or it was all a normal dream.
Heres where it got fun! Next thing I know Im in school on the first day. I remember the early part of the dream as a normal dream. For some reason they told us they werent assigning lockers this year and we could choose my own, so I started darting down the hall where I last saw my best friends so I could get lockers next to em. When I got there I thought, "Wait a second... I didn't go to soccer tryouts yet. School can't be here already...". Then reality hit me that I had two weeks, and this must be a dream. (school is the most efficient trigger for me; the only other lucid dream I had this summer occured in the same way where I realized school doesn't start for a while, yet I was in it. I had the same exact experiance last year too.) Anyway, I wasn't completely convinced I was dreaming; I still thought it might be raelity because it was so damn intricate and detailed and felt so real. So i went up to my friend and said, "hey, are we dreaming"? Right then I started to get "fuzzy", things turned gray and i could see my eyelids closing in my dream. I realized I was losing lucidity, so I started telling myself "I AM dreaming, i AM dreaming". THankfully my eyelids opened and I started to feel vibrations. Next I looked around, and I was super conscious and everything was super clear, like reality.
Now I wanted to try to fly. The night before I read you had to bounce your feet then youd slowly get off the ground, so I tried it and got nowhere. So I asked my friend, "do you have any clue how to fly in dreams"? And he immediately hopped up and started flying. I tried to do the same but felt as if I was falling so I stopped.
Next I saw a girl, so I went up to her to talk. Out of nowhere, a teacher came and put her hand on my shoulder and said I was coming to detention. Initialy I thought I would fight back, but I decided to screw it and go alogn with the flow. So in detention she gave me a talk and said the dean was coming soon. When she left the room and locked the door, I decided I'll walk through the walla nd get the hell out of there. So i got up, and tried to walk through the wall, but i just hit it and nothing happened. I tried again; same thing. The third time I tried it and I started to feel as if I was going through. Then out of absolutely nowhere I snapped back to reality with my eyes open. I guess the amazement of walking through a wall got me too excited and ruined the dream... oh well, it was freaken awesome!
Anyway, the main question of my post is to ask if there is a name for the way I LD'd, where I basically just woke up in the morning as usual, laid there, and repeated affirmations as I drifted into sleep. I thought at first it may have been a WILD, but after I read a tutorial the method seemed much more complicated than what I did. Thanks alot.
