Hi Everyone
Hi Everyone, This site looks really great, just what I needed. I've been interested in LD for a few years now. I first read about it in a book called The art of Dreaming. I had limited success using the method of trying to remember to look at my hands while dreaming. I stopped trying for a while then a couple of months ago I had the most amazing dream I have ever had in my life!
It started off as a normal dream. I was standing in my lounge room and then I felt this buzzing electricity flow through my body. It felt so good I thought I could fly so I floated up to the ceiling and hovered there for a while. Then I think I wondered if I was really flying or was it a dream and suddenly I was lying in bed fully aware of the fact that I was asleep in bed and dreaming. I could somehow see the bedroom with my eyes closed. Then the buzzing feeling came back and I knew I could fly so I floated up out of the house and flew around in the sky.
I cant really recount the dream completely here, It would take too long but it was amazing! It has rekindled my interest in LD and I cant wait experience it again.

Cool dream. Welcome to the site. I think you'll find lots of help here and support to explore your dream world. Be sure to check out the tutorials...they are simply wonderful, and chocked full of great advice. Again, welcome!

:welcome:
Wow, that sounds like an incredible experience. Did you already have an idea of what to expect from your research? Or did this happen spontanteously? Check out some of the WILD tutorials if you haven't already. Now that you know what the goal is, I bet you can return to that state with a little practice.

sounds great, ive been here for quite a while and havent experienced anything that great, anyway.. welcome to dv:teeth:

It was an Incredible experience Robot Butler. It happened spontaniously with however when I became lucid in the dream I think knowing about lucid dreaming helped alot. The memory of this dream is incredibly vivid as well.Much clearer than my normal dreams usually are.
I have read some of the Tutorials and have attempted a couple of WILDs. I have fallen alseep a couple of times but I did manage to get into sleep paralasis I think. I got scared though and woke up.
I am reality checking every day now and I can see how this will work. I expect to do it in a dream very soon:)

If you are having them spontaneously, that's a very good sign. Most people just use reality checks to make sure that they're dreaming after they already think that they are. I've only actually reality checked three or four times randomly in dreams.

Yeah I have always wanted to fly and haven't had a flying dream since I was a child. To be so lucid at the same time was amazing. I am now keeping a dream journal and reality checking every day though I havn't done it in my dreams yet. I have attempted quite a few wilds with no success yet. I can relax and enter the dream with enough consciousness to know that I am supposed to remember something but not what that something is! Very frustrating when I wake up! :)

Hey and :welcome: to DV. That sounded like a nice dream. I know not being able to remember what u wanted to do in ur dream can be very annoying but with some practice, most people can get it right. Just keep at it with the wilds, for some people it takes days to get it, whereas other people can take up to months. Im sure u'll get it right, just remember to always be optimistic and never get frustrated.
