Trouble getting out of Hipnogia. WILD help.

Whenever I try to achieve a WILD, WBTB or not, I have trouble getting out of the half awake/asleep state. I don't move at all, and sometimes I start feeling like I'm spinning. Also, sometimes when I'm trying to get a WILD, after about 10 minutes, I feel like someone else is in the room with me, then I get paranoid and wake up and look around. Is that normal? Also, how long does it take to get a WILD?

This "spinning feeling" and this "presence" in your room can be attributed to Sleep Paralysis. When you feel like you are spining, falling through your bed/ceiling then this usually means that the process of SP is almost complete; you were very close to WILDing.

But if you were awakened then you must've reacted to SP in some way. We're not suppose to be conscious when we fall asleep which is why we have to "trick" our bodies into "thinking" (if you will) that we're asleep. If you react in any way to SP (shock, excitement, etc.) then our bodies will know we're not unconscious yet and cancel/delay SP. This is why practicing is the best way to master SP; you have to know and become accustomed to SP. You have to know how SP feels, how it affects you and how to react to it when you're trying to WILD. You can read as many guides as you like, but I guarantee that my previous statement is the best way to learn.
Nevertheless, guides are always helpful so here's a little guide of mine that Im going around harassing new WILDers with.;)

9. Continue step 8 until you feel that sudden rush of spinning and/or falling through your bed or ceiling (in my case); this should mean that SP is complete, and hence you are ready to dream.

10. If you are not already in a dream scene, then spin around or rub your hands together (or both) in order to conjure up one. Doing this can also stabilize a fading/blurry dream scene.

There you have it, those are pretty much all the steps I take when Im attempting a WILD. And if it doesnt work the first time, remember that it takes time so dont give up! I know it seems like a lot, but once you've been through it many times, you will become better and better at it.:)

That's all normal for the hypnagocic stage. Especially feeling a presence in the room. I actually gave up exploring the HI stage because that freaked me out so much. Just wait until you see shadow people in your room!

If you're WILDing by passing through the HI stage, you may find yourself trapped and unable to progress from there. The key is to try to shake loose a dream body. Which is easier said than done. I find it hard to detach me torso and head from my real body.

I have that same problem! I can get my "dream" arms and legs up fine, but my head I just can't.
