Realised I was Dreaming...In A Dream

I'll try and explain this as briefly and as best I can, anyway.

Basically I was dreaming, in this dream I was walking down my street and I noticed strange air crafts in the air. This triggered the 'Oh I'm dreaming' mentality, but straight after that I woke up from this dream into my bed, but the layout of my room was different, therefore I was still dreaming.

Somehow my mind flipped me straight back into the 'thinks it's real' mentality and I got up and dressed my self (for some reason I had a Christian cross and a Mjolnir necklace, random symbolism I guess).

The rest is hazy until I did wake in reality.

So what is this exactly? My mind blocking my lucidity?

im a "noob" at this to, it's all new to me, but from what i've read, exitement wakes you up from lucid dreams.

You had a false awakening. Your brain thinks you are infact awake in your bed and everything around you is real, but in reality your are still asleep, these can be hard to identify if you are a beginner.

yeah and to avoid this you should do a RC after every awakening, if false or true. but i keep forgetting to do an RC when i wake up :bang:
