Hi Josh welcome to DV :D
First of all keep a dream journal, when you awake in the morning write down everything you remember about your dreams, you can then look at finding dream signs, something which always happens in your dreams etc.
You must do regular reality checks, e.g squeezing your nose and trying to breath.
Also look at the tutorial section of the forum :)
ok thanks, i'll start my dream journal tomorrow :)
as for remembering my dreams i'm not that good at it as i've never tried, but there is this one dream that i can remember i had about 4 years ago.
it's just one dream i remember really well...
Ok if your not all that good at remembering you dreams there is a method which might help you, before you fall asleep say to yourself in your mind, "I will remember my dreams when i wake up" Repeat this 4 times then go to sleep.
Also when you wake up in the morning try not to move at all and just lie there trying to remember your dreams..:)
ok, thanks a lot :]
No problem if you have anymore questions or need help pm me:)
Check out the homepage and the tutorials section for helpful guides to get you on your way to lucidity :)
ok i will thanks ;)
wow this is a quick community, nice and friendly too
Welcome to now.
:welcome: to DV
Like everyone has already mentioned, start a dream journal to get you recall up, then start working on increasing your awareness during the day so it carries over into your dreams.
:welcome: :D
It also helps to reread your journal entries so you can get familiarized with any Dream Signs (reoccurring people, places, situations, etc.) you might have. Another added bonus is that by rereading entries, you'll be telling your mind that you want to remember your dreams more, and, once you recall is up, that you want to have Lucid Dreams. Plus it's fun to think about the dreams you have. :)
Welcome :D
Welcome to DV, Josh. We're glad to have you here.
ok, thanks everyone for making me feel welcome here, i went to sleep, woke up.
and i managed to remember some parts of three different dreams i think.
wrote them down :)
i was in my house, then for some reason my mobile phone rang and to answer it, i went outside my front door. it was raining. then me and my friend had a long talk about lucid dreaming and how far i have got with it.
i took my dogs for a walk, then immediately when i closed my door when i got back home, my dad went out the door downstairs to go to work.
i was in a big mansion and i wondered around for a few hours (what it felt like) and i eventualy said to myself "where am i?" and then people starting appearing out of nowhere dancing and singing like it was some sort of musical, i ran outside and there was more people and dancing around fires, fireworks exploding ect.
not sure if any of these are supposed to make sense, but i found it fun to remember my dreams, my strange strange dreams...
