Hello
Hey people, to start with im 18 and have had around 5 lucid dreams. but i want to know more :)
When i was very young i used to constantly have nightmares, i can look back and laugh from how silly they really were lol. but anyway, i learnt to wake my self up and i guess i did this from knowing i was dreaming. ill probably have been around 6 when it started, maybe younger. I can remember my mum used to tell me to be nice to them (people in my dreams that used to tickle me lmao! hated it) anyway one dream i was nice, and i let them play on my slide and all was well. so i think from an early age ive been intouch with my dreams fairly well.
Anyway i got older (was about 14 i think) and my first real lucid dream i new i was dreaming, but sorta didnt, was strange. anyway, my first few were relatively similar, involving women :P was at that age haha. on the 3rd one i suddenly realised i was dreaming and got on with what i wanted to do.
(these lucid dreams were spaced months apart btw maybe even over 18 months. so it wasnt a constant thing)
Then i heard about lucid dreaming from somewhere, and was like, ive done that!!
The next lucid dream i was around 16 and i cant remember were i was but again i realised i was dreaming and got that excited a woke my self up. this was anoying!! was soo angry when i woke up
then the next time was on a peer in the sky with a floating ship and the sea underneath me. I was walking down it and realised i was dreaming. suddenly i started getting very excited, so i closed my eyes for a few seconds and chilled out, then straight away a started running and took off, was absolutly amazing sooooo real. i just flew for ages it seemed. cant discribe how incredible it was. as you all will know lol. (might of been around 17)
This was the last one ive had. which is disappointing. i haven't trained my self with a dream journal or with the "am i dreaming technique, just read about them) so i think it all started from been younge.
im now 18 and ive been working for the past year, and been very tierd on an evening. apparently this will effect my lucid dreaming. which makes sence.
id love to be able to lye in on a weekend and have the power to lucid dream if i want. but i cant :( i cant do it often enough. and from work i dont have the energy to keep waking my self up n stuff. any suggestions?
haha at long post
BTW just readin around, didnt know people struggled flying or having long lucid dreams, all mine have been lenghy, well reasonably anyway. and i flew really easily. wierd

You're lucky that your parents gave you such great advice for your dreams. I always wonder how much influence upbringing can have on our dream habits. If you are already having such great dreams without even trying, imagine what you will be able to do once you give it some attention.
Don't worry about being tired all the time. As long as you are getting a decent amount of sleep, you have plenty of time to dream. Don't be put off by Wake Back To Bed and WILD tutorials that tell you to stay awake for an hour, or lie in bed for ages without sleeping. You can do most of the little tricks without interrupting your sleep much at all.

how can i do this without interupting my sleep? i usually have around 7-8 hours sleep a night. which i hear is normal. but im always tierd because my job is rather pysical.
and yer, i couldnt believe it when it actually worked been nice to them. obviously been so young, with me thinking it would work, it worked.
anyway back onto topic, what is WILD? also im going to start keeping a dream journel i think, had a couple lassnight but after a couple minutes forgot them. somtimes i can remeber them really easy, can remeber some from years back. others are gone straight away. rather interesting is the mind!
oh and BTW about staying awake in bed before sleep, i naturally do this, takes me 30 mins to an hour to doze off. put me in a car and im asleep after 2 minutes lol. mum used to take me out to stop me crying :P
