Not really new.
Hi there all. My name is Ev and I have visited the site before but have not been on here in a long while. I have had lucid dreams for a long time now and although I have practiced techniques that people have suggested to instigate ld's, they are still totally random and I could go months without having one, then have 3 in a week. I was just curious if anyone is in the same boat, as it seems that nearly everyone on here (supposedly) can attain ld's at will? That such a bizarre occurence could be controlled and manipulated in such a manner, and by seemingly anyone, fascinates me, and I'd just like to know if there is anyone out that has these ld's as randomly and unexpectedly as I do.
I'm of the firm opinion that some people consider nearly every dream as lucid when, as you will all know, they are nothing of the sort and when you've had one you will know about it. Dreams are weird enough as they are but these are something completely different. Anyway, sorry for the drawn out post, would just like to know some other opinions. Cheers, Ev.

I personally normally have them randomly but I can sometimes 'induce' them via auto-suggestion or WBTBs(I'm yet to attempt WILD/MILDing seriously).
As for the reason some people think most of their dreams are lucid is probably because they are(naturals) or it's a mere combination of bad recall and lucid dreaming plot-lines.

Hey shrimpster, thanks for replying. The fact that you can induce ld's via auto-suggestion is extraordinary, that's got to be a real talent. Interesting that you use the term 'naturals', because if i'd never had an ld( what I used to call a 'crazy dream'), I never would have felt the impulse to research any further. If I had as many ld's as some claim to, I think i'd go nuts! Anyway, thanks a lot for your info/advice. Cheers, Ev.
