Talking I hope I've got the potential!

Well, they say anything is possible: maybe it's possible that we can get along ?
I've been interested in controlling my dreams since my grandmother made a comment about being able to "be what you wanna be" in your dreams.

My question is, will something like an ADHD diagnosis make me incapable of doing this, or will it just get in the way ?

      Hi there,

I really don't know, but I belive you'll find your way, no matter what was diagnosed. Lucid dreaming is actually easier than most think it is. Once you find your personal "trick", it's really like picking flowers.

gigaschatten is right, lucid dreaming is easier than most people believe. Let me be perfectly honest with you, based on what I've experienced, I think the ADHD will be a big obstacle. That isn't to say that you can't do it, because you can, everyone can. It's just that some of the techniques like reality testing and WILD require lots of concentration. You can do this, but it might be a little harder for you. If you put effort into it though, you will be successful.

      hi again,

thanks for replying! it's good to see this is an active community, because I get the feeling I'll be coming back alot
and it's good to know that you think it's possible, because i was a little worried it would just be one of those things I couldn't do.

You can do it, I promise. Anyone can do it with practice and effort. Like I said, it's easier than most people think. But still, it might not be totally easy and it will take effort. You need to decide whether you're totally committed to learning before you start. If you are committed to that idea, I promise you can do it.
