Natural Lucidity.
Quite funny, i was talking to my sister about lucid dreaming ( i havn't even began practicing yet...) and it turns out she has them all the time, in fact she always has, she didn't even realise everyone else couldn't do it lol. How common is this anyway? I thought it was very interesting so i thought id mention it.
p.s
hello everyone! im new to all this, but if i have any luck with lucid dreaming ill probably become a regular poster....

I've nearly always had lucid dreams, but since I found out what they were and joined the site I've realised that a lot of people have them.
-
Yeah, I've heard that a lot... it's pretty cool! (I'm jealous of them =| )
BTW, welcome claro  ! Hopefully you keep your word!

Yes, Jealousy came to mind at first, but I also know a "Natural" and talked with him about it. and from Discussing this, he doesn't have the excitement about it. For me It's a whole new world opening up before me. Just little by little. If it were always a part of me, I think the excitement level would be down. Perhaps a comparison to someone that is blind for all of his/her life, and all of a sudden there is a transplant, and this person can now see. He/she would look at this gift with much more excitment and posiblities than a person that could always see. And would be much more thankful for the ability.
Just My thought.

hi!!! welcome! you will find heaps of cool people oh here, some natural LDers and some not... i posted somehting on this not long ago... why are some poeple natural and some not? but it semed that most people believe that its is a state of mind, and a way of seeing things that affects it... how you are as a child determines alot about latrer life anyway.
but moving on.... i hape u stick around... its hard to get your subconsious to try as hard as your consious to have LDs, but keep a dream journal and think about whether you are dreaming alot throught out the day.. but u have to really mean it! good luck, and dont give up xxx

I've also had lucid dreams ever since I can remember. Not every night, but usually at least twice a month, and sometimes every night for a week. Varying degrees of lucidity, varying degrees of control--sometimes I know it's a dream but can't do much about it, sometimes I can do nearly anything I want. I never realized until I read the site that most people can't without a lot of work. Kudos to you folks!
LucidDreamz, I can see why your friend isn't as excited about it as people who have only done it a few times. In my case, it's not as exciting now as when I was a little kid, but it's still a lot of fun and I enjoy doing it. Plus I have an extraordinary number of nightmares (often several a week), so lucidity can help with that, too. At the very least, I can sometimes become lucid enough to wake myself up before it gets too bad. I don't like waking myself up though, it tends to give me a headache.
I'm new to the forums as well, Claro. But you all sound like a friendly bunch, so I think I may hang around awhile.

Since its a bigger chance effecting a young mind to become a naturel lucider, im going to start working at a kindergarden... and during theyr daily nap im going to wisper "Your dreaming" to them all and tell stories about Lucid Dreaming, every day. Just because i want to be a natural.
