Dreaming in Color/B&W ?
So i hear it is really common for most to dream in black and white rather than color? Personally i dream in color and i assume most that have picked up interest (other LDers) dream in color as well. Anyone know about this? I'm just looking for some statistics or to stir up some conversation ;)

I always thought everyone dreamed in color. But then I came here and saw some actually dreamed in Black and White. I can't even imagine dreaming without color. There's only one dream I could count as being in B&W, but the colors were only very faded. Faded, but still there.

Yes, how odd. I've only ever dreamed in colour, too.
-
Yeah I dream in color alot too, In fact I remember multiple scenerios in color that I plan to visit again though LD, my main inspiration.
-
Yeah, the b&w thing spun me out. I've always dreamt in colour.

I thought it was weird to see that a lot of people dream only in black and white. I alwaysdream in color, and the closest I ever come to dreaming in black and white is when I'm having some sort of film noir style dream, and even then it's usually just muted colours.

Yeah, it would suck to only dream in B&W! :boogie: I actually read about people with blindness, they don't dream in vision at all! (of course) But i do think they dream of sounds and the like.

Dreams early in sleep tend to be less coloured that those later in sleep. The brain is deeper during the early sleep so your dreams are less detailed and sometimes b&w.

I often dream in color, with things being just as realistic and colorful as they are to me in RL.
Sometimes, I have dreams that take on a certain hue. So they are not only in black and white, but they are monochrome... usually blue.

also never dreamt in b&w and never anything else than colour, but as theres everything possible in LDs... ^^
i think its up to you if you dream in colour or black&white, so i dont think that anyone always dreams in b&w and can't do anything to change it.

ive read in old books like carl jung and fraudian books about this, they used to say, although it is common to dream in black and white, occassionally people may have a clear colourful dream, this spun me out when i read it, cause i never dream in black and white, and i assumed if i did, it would be for a reason, like i was in a black and white movie or something, anyway, i eithier think that this is some weird concept going around back then or there minds werent as evovlved, but i tend to think it is the concept thingo, people maybe thought that dreaming was more rare as they payed no attention to it and they were also with the beleive that, 'I only dream sometimes' were as its about what you remember, so maybe what they remembered was not always clear so they labeled it black and white or something, dont know. dont think ive ever had one black and white dream, would be cool though! just once.
